These paintings are of a quiet beach on the Fijian island of Taveuni. The beach is overgrown with mangrove trees, and light filters through the leaves in a mesmerizing, dappled pattern.

Frederiksted, or F-sted, is a lovely town on the island of Saint Croix. In the early morning, the city takes on bright hues as the sun rises over the buildings. Chickens stroll through quiet streets as residents awake. This watercolor painting attempts to capture the lazy, warm mood.

A late winter sunset over the canals is observed by a couple in Amsterdam. This is an original, vibrant watercolor, inspired by my personal travels to this lovely part of the Netherlands.

I was lucky enough to travel to Lisbon in the late spring, and captured this dynamic scene as I was taking a river cruise. Lisbon is silhouetted against a turbulent sky after a brief, but turbulent, rainstorm. It was quite a challenge to keep color in the piece without taking away from the shapes the clouds were making.
