“Party of Blue” was inspired by dives in Western Australia’s beautiful Ningaloo Reef. It depicts a cascade of blue reef fish darting around a patch of staghorn coral. This is a lovely piece with dynamic motion, evocative colors, and energetic textures.

Inspired by the Ningaloo Reef in Australia, this painting depicts a whale shark protecting a school of fish from a cloud of jellyfish. This painting is a departure from some of my richer landscape paintings, using bright, airy colors and negative space to illustrate a happy-go-lucky scene. Here’s the result of playing with textures and patterns, and pulling out high-contrast colors with reddish-orange coral offset by deep blue sea.
